Snowpack

Plenty of snowy slush on Loveland pass and plenty of weak layers north east north west and lots of sun crust and thawing on south facing slopes... Some weak layers are buried deep and others seem to be only foot or so beneath top crust. Plenty of snow to ride but the warm temperatures are making the water percolate through the snowpack and wet slide activity is increasing. Intentional cornice release (small refrigerator sized) made with ski pole and attached saw on first saddle of ironing board released a small soft slab about 1 to 2 foot crown 10 to 15 ft wide. Slope angle was 36.
