Partly cloudy skies trending to overcast in the afternoon. Temps cooling from several degrees above freezing to at or just below freezing. Light and variable winds at treeline. Snowfall increasing throughout the afternoon, beginning with graupel, then to rimed particles. Moderate snow, S2 at times by 1600
Snowpack
2-3 meter snowpack ATL in a moderately wind loaded area above Emerald Lake. Sunny aspects had moist snow 10cm down, north aspects remained dry and cold. Overall, a fairly uniform snowpack with 1F-P hardness in the upper 2m and a non-reactive persistent problem in the upper 50cm.
