Weather

1. 13:00, 11,325 ft, 22-degree slope, NW aspect off of 11,400 bump, high veil of clouds, L-M winds from W/SW, air temp 1C. 2. 14:00, 11,380ft, 20-degree slope, east aspect on 11,400 bump, broken sky, L-M wind from west, air temp -.5C.

Snowpack

1. Snow pit from first weather ob (above), HS 155cm, Tsurf 0C, T-10 -9C; CTN 2x. Snowpack mostly faceted (3mm DH in bottom; some 1-2mm rounding facets midpack, with a couple inconsequential crusts in the upper 20cm. Surface forms .5mm facets with decomposing fragments. Bootpen 35cm, ski pen 15cm. 2. Snow pit from second weather ob (above), HS150cm, Tsurf -3.5C, T-10 -6C; numerous CTN results, but 20m away numerous CTE results on suncrust 35cm down, Q2, RP. RB5 x1, on the suncrust layer approx 35cm down. Several stout P-K suncrust layers in the upper 30cm of the snowpack. Photo attached.
