Nice spring day, rapidly rising temps, light breeze with the occasional gust.
Snowpack
South slopes frozen at 830am, corn by 1030. West slopes in trees were trapdoor facets to depth hoar. Evidence of debris and broken timber from an earlier avalanche est ran 1/9/2017. Average depth of snowpack 88-110cm near and below treeline. Obviously much deeper in track filled with debris. Multiple melt freeze crust/facet combos. One at 65cm reactive in snowpack tests. Snowpack isothermal at 0C and moist to ground. Upper east start zone filled in from recent wind. West start zone scoured.
