Weather
Very strong winds and blowing snow for most of the day. Winds calmed and snow intensified mid to late afternoon. Snowing steadily at TH at 4:15pm.
Snowpack
Storm snow (about 8 inches) did not appear to be bonding well to old surface snow, especially in places where old surface was wind blasted. Experienced sluffing of storm snow on steep slopes, but storm snow was not acting as a slab. Slope skied was fairly wind protected, despite intense winds in the area. No whumping or cracking noted.
Avalanche
None observed.
