Avalanche

Saw two good sized avalanches while driving home on i70 but wasn't able to take a picture. A big one on Mt Machebeuf S face, another on Parnassus S Face. Both were approximately same aspect (s) and elevation (in the 12k-12.5k range I'm guessing after looking at topo maps). The Machebeuf slide ripped from the shoulder all the way around to the near side of the bowl (the whole east facing side of the main south rib) and the crown looked really big. The Parnassus slide was very similar, on the nose of a s facing ridge at a similar altitude. This one was smaller but still good size. I'm hesitant to give D or R ratings since I just saw them while driving.
