0730hrs; OBS; FOG; 29F; west wind 5/g8; 1" new snow; looks and feels like April conditions.

Snowpack

HS 23"; above freezing air temperature and light rain yesterday saturated the faceted snowpack below 8,800 feet with numerous wet facet sluffs on the road banks along the highway corridor. At 9,000 feet the snowpack is moist with 1" of new snow on top of a rain crust (location variable).
