Weather
Overcast in AM. Steady snowfall at S1 for several hours starting midday, then a lull with thinning clouds. Some small banners/ plumes visible off highest ridgelines, but winds nothing like previous day.
Snowpack
HS 200-250 near treeline. 2 pits @ 11,400 ft, ESE & NNE facing slopes, ~150 m apart. 3-26 & 3-30 dust layers visible in top 75 cm of snowpack; 4-1 layer visible on NNE slope. No prominent WLs found in top m of either pit, but some shear planes that were not sensitive.
Avalanche
Visibility poor, but appeared to be some crowns on NNE sides of cross-loaded ribs and ridges. Couldn't see fresh debris, so likely older.
