Weather

Cap cloud lingered over some of the Front Range from Hoosier Pass and north for at least part of the day. At 2 pm the cloud was still north of I-70

Snowpack

New snow was settling fast. Some significant cross loading noted on a north aspect gully feature. The 'Wind Slab' looked fresh and tender, but no way to test it with out too much exposure for us. Bad terrain trap in the gully feature. Snow pack was getting warm enough that some WLN activity was starting to sprout on E aspects at 2 PM off steep rocky terrain nr TL.

Avalanche

Some WLNR1D0.5 activity starting to shed off steep E aspects when I was leaving around 2 PM. One older HSNR2D2 off Wilcox Pk around 12,800 ft. Crown was around 200 feet wide, around 1 to 2 feet deep. Starting to fill back in, maybe ran last week?
