Africa Hot! High of 44F at 10k and 31F at 12k. Winds were light with some moderate gusts this morning from the NW. Clear skies.
Snowpack
Snow became wet to very wet, with most freewater in the vicinity of the 3/30 dust layer. Rollerballs and pinwheels on SE in the a.m. and W in the p.m.
Avalanche
Skier triggered one soft slab on a SE aspect above treeline, ~80 feet wide and 18-24†deep, which ran on the 4/6 interface (which is holding some of the 3/30 dust on that particular slope). SS-ASc-R2-D1.5-I. New natural on E aspect of Mt. Owen, estimated 2 feet deep, 100 feet wide, appeared to fail below the 3/30 dust layer and then step up and run on it. Ran ~1000 feet to Green Lake. SS-N-R2-D2-O. Two other new soft slab naturals today on SE aspects above treeline (Purple and Ruby), both appeared to be triggered by wet loose from above, ~10†deep, 30 feet wide. SS-N-R1-D1-I Dozens of natural wet loose avalanches near and above treeline around the Ruby Range, mostly on E to S to SW aspects, a few on NE. All D1 in size.
