Interesting Ice Lenses In Melt/Freeze, and the impacts of the melting Dirt Layer. Once the dirt layer is exposed, we get rapid snow melt and evaporation which seems to be effecting the run-off in the Upper Rio Grande. Residents are also concerned about how this might effect the water table. Can this be factored into snowpack/ water table recharge predictions?
