Snowpack
Only on the hard west did we find a very thin breakable wind crust, and on the hard south we found a thin breakable sun crust. Everywhere else the surface snow was soft and creamy. We did a hasty pit right next to the remotely triggered avalanche on a NW aspect and had ECTP(16)x2 on the surface hoar that was buried 9cm below the bed surface of the adjacent avalanche.
