Weather
hot down in the drainage in W willow. On the ridge top actually the wind combated the warming a fair bit; the overall effect seemed to be anything besides due north up high was getting wet. wind speeds on the ridge were moderate in the face so out of the S. Clouds were building through the day but started off CLR.
Snowpack
settled wind-textured powder from baldy summit N to about 11500 feet. probing found old wind slab snow layers with HS up to 150 cm in that area and variable... obviously thin around the rock outcrops. Snowpack was thin spotty and unsupportive wet through the high traverse out.
Avalanche
noticed a fairly recent slab avalanche on W NW aspect off Sievers slightly above TL R 2 D2 poss WS.
