Weather

Overcast skies with s2 rates of snowfall, trending broken. Winds out of the S moving trees.

Snowpack

Average HS @ 10,000 ft was 120cm. CT2 20cm down new snow old surface interface. Depth Hoar at ground, 3mm facets. Hand shear on switch backs felt slabby, as with skiing. Felt like snow was making me submarine.

Avalanche

2 observed from side of the road on the way to Columbine. Took pictures on return home to Steamboat. Small R1D1.
