Weather

Temps warmed rapidly late morning. Winds light w a few stronger gusts in favored saddles.

Snowpack

HS highly variable - 0-3m within 30 m across a slope. Snow surface likewise variable. Most widespread conditions thin wind or sun crust over 5-10cm fine grained NSF. Some thicker crusts, some wind-hammered sastrugi, some refrozen MF. Midpack a hard slab of various thicknesses; well-preserved DH - some chains - at base. Trapdoor conditions developing on some shaded slopes N/BTL.

Avalanche

Several skier-triggered slides previously reported on Willoughby and Baldy, NE-facing slopes. Each broke below main start zones, on midlsope convexities or cross-loaded pillows.
