Snowpack
I did a compression test today, and was unable to get the upper slab to trigger even after 10 taps from the wrist, ten from the elbow, ten from the shoulder, then whacking the snot out of it with the shovel. Nothing happened. No failures at all. I did isolate the column completely, and it was a pretty steep, northeast slope, in some relatively tight trees adjacent to a steep open zone that was sketching me out. Lots of facets in the lower half of the 4 foot deep pack.
