Snowpack
The snowpack is not changing very rapidly at this point and remains very weak. This stretch of high pressure, with recent very cold, clear nights has kept us at status quo. Shadier slopes below treeline still have newer snow slab overlying DH- easily triggered by weight of bc traveler. Sunnier slopes have a couple crust layers in the upper pack with facets on/below as well. We are still getting lots of collapsing near and below treeline. Incoming snow will fall onto near surface facets on all aspects.
