Weather

Snowpack

Snowfall in the past 48 hours is 12" (~0.7" of water), with 2" falling in the past 24 hours. The new snow is slabby and upside-down in some areas, especially in wind affected terrain near and above treeline and on southerly aspects that received solar radiation today. It appears to be bonding fairly well to old surfaces, with no significant signs of instability within our tenure and only minor natural avalanche activity (small, windloaded pockets) in the surrounding area. However, we did not ski into our steeper terrain above treeline affected or loaded by wind today.
