20"-24" of fresh powder with no wind slab sitting on a faceted layer of approx 1.5". The snow seemed fairly stable under the weak layer. During a compression test, a the top 3-4" "popped-out" at tap 2, it took 14 taps to get the column to break at the buried weak layer approx. 24" down. The test slope was approx. 35 degrees
