Weather

Air temperatures in the low to mid-teens at 7AM at the Glacier Gorge parking lot. Winds ranging from SE to W to N throughout the day in the 15-25mph range with gusts nearing 50. Skies overcast to obscured throughout the day. El. ranging from 9,500' to 10,400'.

Snowpack

Avg. HS on the E. Face 60-80cm. Top 10-15cm F/4F hardness, rounded, forming wind slab. Below that a 10-30cm P hardness slab. Below that were facets all the way to the ground. Top wind slab was very reactive and rapidly becoming more dense throughout the day. Slab beneath surface also reactive, hollow sounding.
