Weather

Sunny and very warm, very light winds

Snowpack

Old. Some sun crust, otherwise dense and wet. At lower elevations rotten. On an old north/south logging road on an east facing slope at about 10,800' somewhere between Lobo and Big Meadow Res. the snow was visibly and audibly collapsing while skiing along the road. On the final descent to the reservoir on a steep northwest facing slope, the snowpack was thin, rotten, and collapsed under skis frequently.
