Mostly cloudy, scattered snow showers.

Snow surface was a combination of stellar, decomposing, and faceted snow grains. We did not dig though a few pole probes confirmed some strong over weak layering in the snowpack in many places. No recent avalanches observed and no obvious signs of instability. The CAIC Front Range forecast seems spot on with a moderate hazard rating, as natural avalanches seem to be currently unlikely to this observer, while human triggered avalanches are certainly still possible to likely based on current snowpack structure at mid/upper elevations and leeward slopes.
