Clouds building through the day. Winds picked up by later in the afternoon. Warm.

Snowpack

The snowpack still lacks structure in this area. Trapdoor conditions were prevalent off trail, and foot pen was to the ground in all BTL locations we traveled. Mid-pack was supportable to skis in most areas, at least for downhill travel. Near-treeline slopes had about 40 cm of soft snow (F-4F) on top of stiff old wind slabs, with facets at the ground. Remarkably little effects from wind in this normally wind-swept location. We found no wind slabs, and no sign of the wind-crust reported from nearby slopes
