Weather
Increasing clouds and snowfall throughout the day. Started partly cloudy, upper teens. Increased to overcast with moderate snow by mid afternoon. Moderate NW wind observed near treeline @ 11,000'
Snowpack
~40cm of new snow observed. Below treeline, this was non-cohesive and unreactive. Near treeline, the top 20cm was being blown into a stronger windslab layer (4f), particularly on E-SE aspects. Minor cracking around skin track. Consistently rough shears indicated good bonding to underlying layer. This windslab was increasing in strength and distribution throughout the afternoon.
