Weather

Calm to light winds all afternoon. One glimpse of blowing snow. Broken skies w a few light flurries and a few bursts of sun. HN24 8" at Dawson storm board below trailhead, with another 3" settled snow from Friday night.

Snowpack

Very soft slab has accumulated above 12/11 interface. Roughly 30-45 cm thick. No evidence that it can propagate a collapse. No distinct WL on shady slopes where we traveled. WL below crusts on sunny slope.

Avalanche

Visibility ok for nearby slopes but couldn't see higher peaks.
