Warmer than it has been in a while... High thin clouds moved in, but the sun still shone through for most of the afternoon.
Snowpack
Last week's snow has settled into a thick supportable slab. Boot pen was only 35 cm. Below the slab are facets and depth hoar in various stages of rounding. Snowpack tests yielded no results, but structure remains concerning. HS around a meter everywhere I traveled. A notable surface hoar event had occurred in the last 48 hours. Crystals were from .5 to 3 cm and were very widespread, even in the trees. This layer could be a problem with next weeks storm.
