Weather

Bluebird, mid-20's, calm winds

Snowpack

NNE face, 8500ft, HS=115, Bottom 40cm is fist hard facets, 40-60cm up is 4F slab, 60-115cm up is progressively softer snow (fist hardness ~60cm and softer than fist near the top), so somewhat of an upside down snowpack, but it skied nicely. In the meadows there was 5mm surface hoar, which was less and less pronounced the further up the ridge we skinned. South facing slopes are getting a thin crust built up but only on steep stuff that gets direct sunlight from the low hanging sun.

Avalanche

None observed, but saw some small surface sluffs on steep road cuts.
