About 4 inches of new snow had fallen the night before, with a notable layer of graupel on top. Moderate yet consistent westerly winds were depositing snow onto leeward slopes.
Snowpack
A collapse in the snow pack occurred on top of the ridge. We dropped a small cornice which released a 4 inch wind slab that propagated about 20 feet. Skied terrain up to 30 degrees without incident.
