Snowpack

Tour up to meadow with CBMG L2 class. Found isolated areas of 12/31 wind crust (K hard) resting on very weak (F hard) faceted snow in top 20 cm of snowpack. 10-15 cm of last week's storm snow on crust and HS varied from 50-70 cm within a short area. Observed some cracking on steep rolls where crust was present. Compression tests produced sudden and fast pops on facets below crust and ECTs indicated potential for propagation on facets below crust as well.
