Weather

Scattered clouds becoming broken in the PM. Snow flurries in the PM. Winds were mostly light below treeline w/ some moderate NW valley winds in the AM. Moderate NE winds w/ moderate blowing snow on ridgetops above treeline. Temps stayed cold, though solar radiation was strong when the clouds broke.

Snowpack

Storm snow settled significantly on solar slopes, but was still 45cm of dry powder on cold northerly slopes above 10,000ft. Recent snow showed much better bonding to old snow surfaces than yesterday. Cold temps seemed to lock up most lower slopes that were not previously freezing. Localized soft, shallow wind slabs forming on ridgetops above treeline.
