There was an overcast most of the day with light snow fall and gusty winds causing snow saltation, by three the sun appeared.
Snowpack
Snowpack consisted of a light layer caused by the wind on top 6 cm, of wind packed snow into approx. 12cm of wind broken partials, at 147cm there is a sun crust with a melt freeze occurring around that layer, 145cm we see the wind packed layer again, 127cm to 32cm height of snow we find faceted round partials with varying density and grain sizing from 1mm to 3mm. 32cm down there is depth hoar hollow cups about 3mm in size.
