Snowpack
Point releases observed off Uneva Peak's east, NE, SE aspects. Remnants of cornice drops on east-facing shots descending from ridge just south of summit--no larger releases observed due to cornice drops. EXCELLENT skiing conditions, wind pressed in the "main" Uneva bowl and on north-facing shots off Uneva's north ridge. Below treeline skiing EXCELLENT in the morning. One BIG whumpf/shooting crack (100ft) at 11,660 ft, 28-30 degree slope, north aspect off of Uneva's north ridge. Rumbling, enormous collapse when two skiers were near each other on a turn while ascending. Nothing moved.
