SNOWPACK: Storm total was approximately 30cm, first group to go up the gunsight road since the recent storm. Ascended to high switchback before the road heads into the basin. North two runs of the happy chutes, slid naturally. Cornice drop to storm slab last night, R2 D1 on two of the runs. Skied the shots that had extensive skier traffic before storm. Skiing was very soft and deep, and old tracks were not much of a problem. On the exit extensive icing of skis and skins. While we were back at the car early it was apparent that there will likely be some temperature crusts forming this evening, especially on solar aspects. Scott Krankkala
