Snowpack

Above TL there exists a 6-8" 1F wind slab sitting on a layer of faceted snow. This is sitting on a P hard wind slab which seemed to go close to the ground in the few places I poked. There were facets at the ground as well. This structure's depth varied considerably depending on where on slope one was. We were getting shooting cracks, small collapses in the more shallow areas and small slabs popping out on us. Were not at all comfortable being on steep terrain so we picked our way down the rocks until we were on low angle terrain that had slid previously twice.
