Felt a whumph and remote triggered an avalanche right at ridge crest. Investigation of crown showed Surface hoar 3-6mm(april 1st) below a 2cm crust(april 7th). Crown was average 50cm, and had quite wide propagation into moderate ski terrain. This avalanche confirmed our suspicions about high north features harboring the trickiest snowpack right now.
