It is November, after all. Height of snow is less than 1m at treeline elevations around 1300m. About 20-30cm of low density storm snow sits above a pencil hard windslab in exposed south-facing terrain. Compression tests produced moderate shears in the storm snow. Bring your rock skis and stay light on your feet until we get another metre or more. Really easy to get injured right now. Play safe!
