Sledding, Skiing & Sushi all in a Day!

The Microwave Towers at ridgetop were a great place for sushi and views today! We got a few decent quality ski turns in on some shaded north west facing terrain, but even that was getting sticky and moist later in the day. We also scoped out some south facing terrain where we knew there was no one below and ski cut some loose wet avalanches that gouged to the ground - (you can see the video of one of our ski cuts here: https://www.facebook.com/avcansouthrockies/videos/372188343378273/ ). Loose wet avalanches don’t move that fast, but they sure can be destructive, and were good reminders why we need to avoid being on or under sunny slopes in the heat of the day.
