Column test finally broke at 100cm down from surface (base layer pretty much) after 10 smacks of full arm and had to be pulled away. Felt really safe today! Layer of crust at 20cm-40cm below surface may be cause for concern as additional new snow falls on top of this layer. However the top layer of 20cm was light and fluffy.
