Broke a heinous skin track to black prince tree triangle 2 days in a row. An expected 30cm on Tuesday fell making travel slow, but the skiing spectacular. This was followed by a very unexpected 40cm Wednesday AM which made travel (including the drive) difficult, & the ski out nearly impossible. We slogged downhill. Need to set up a go-fund-me for fatter sticks. HST 50-80cm from last 2 days. Low density powder. Evidence of a storm slab sz2 near Heros knob that occurred <48hr ago. Some additional crowns visible on unsupported, windloaded, steep alpine features. Based on this rapid loading cycle, we kept our ski out conservative & in line with our uptrack. Wednesday temps hovered around -10. Tues had a rather rapid warming to -1 by 11am.

Avalanche

Heros knob region. Healthy propagation, crown down approx 30cm. Potentially cornice triggered, vis too poor to know for certain.
