Snow fall observed in the morning transitioned to freezing rain/wet snow around noon. By about 2 pm the freezing rain had turned back to snow. The period of freezing rain created a 2 mm thick crust on the snow surface. This crust was observed between elevations 1,700 and 2,100 m. Winds were generally light, however there were some gusty periods.
