Banging blower on Brooks

Great day out on Brooks. Climbed the east aspect of the north ridge. Continued south along the ridge and dug a pit at the base of the first steep roll on the way to the summit. Noted shearing about 15 cm down on CT 3, presumably from the previous hoar layer. However since the snow above the shear was fluffy and not consolidated we decided to continue to the summit. We skied the steep rolls down from the summit back towards the north ridge. We expected some sluff given the results of our compression test, however none of 4 skiers in our group triggered any sluff. From there we skied glorious pow through the trees along our track up. Didn't take any pics, the stoke was too high!
