Did some laps on the mound south of Rock Isle lake. Took small east ridge up and around, came down spine of ridge west of this. Avoided “funnel” valley area and stuck to low angle slope. The new snow quickly warmed up and became heavy. This new layer became wet even on north aspect and was unstable on the previously existing surface.
