On Christmas eve we rode Frisby Ridge in Revy. Over the hood powder riding in the meadows north of the summit, but the December 17th surface hoar/ crust layer seems ripe for triggering in steep terrain. A compression test at 1950m (NE aspect) revealed sudden planar results on 10mm surface hoar about 60cm down from the surface. I'm definitely sticking to mellow terrain for the next while, especially in areas that haven't seen a lot of rider compaction.
