Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will slowly consolidate in the mild conditions. However, wet snow instabilities will be present on steep slopes mainly on North-West through North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Cornices will be prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be mainly dry with some rain late in the afternoon. Winds will be around gale force. The freezing level will be above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with very strong South-South-Westerly winds. After a cold start the freezing level rose to around summit level in the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: Areas of unstable windslab persist mainly on North-West through North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Elsewhere the snowpack is slowly consolidating and stability is better. Cornices are prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
